◈ WHERE SHOULD THE QR CODE POINT?

A QR code is only as good as the page behind it. Point it at a free Knocket contact page and a single scan opens live chat, WhatsApp, email, and a booking button — so a flyer, package, or table tent turns into a real conversation instead of a dead-end landing page. Grab your free page →

Why generate your own QR code

QR codes bridge the physical and digital world: a scan takes someone from a poster, package, or business card straight to your link — no typing, no searching. But most free generators bury your code behind sign-ups, redirects that can expire, or watermarks. This one gives you a clean, permanent code you fully own.

How to make a QR code

  1. Paste your link or text — a URL, phone number, or any text.
  2. Style it (optional) — set your colors and upload a center logo.
  3. Pick error correction — use “Max” whenever you add a logo.
  4. Download a PNG or SVG and print or share it anywhere.
◈ STATIC VS DYNAMIC

This tool makes static QR codes: your link is baked right into the pattern, so the code works forever with no tracking and no middle-man redirect that could break. The trade-off is you can't change the destination later — so if you might, point the code at a stable URL you control (like a Knocket page) and change what's on that page instead.

Where QR codes earn their keep

A few honest notes on QR codes

QR codes are simple, but a few things trip people up. Worth knowing before you print a thousand of them:

The safest destination is a link you own and can update. A free Knocket page gives you exactly that — one URL behind the code, with the channels and content editable any time.

Frequently asked questions

Is this QR code generator free?

Yes — completely free, no login, no watermark, no limits. The code is generated in your browser and never uploaded, so your link (and any logo) never leaves your device.

Do the QR codes expire?

No. These are static codes — your link is encoded directly into the pattern, so they work forever and don't depend on our servers or any redirect.

Can I add my logo?

Yes. Upload a PNG, JPG, or SVG and it's placed in the center with a small clear margin. Because the logo covers part of the pattern, switch error correction to Max so the code still scans reliably.

PNG or SVG — which should I download?

Use PNG for screens, docs, and quick sharing. Use SVG for print or large formats — it's vector, so it stays perfectly sharp at any size.

What is error correction?

It's built-in redundancy that lets a code still scan when part of it is dirty, damaged, or covered (for example by a logo). Higher levels add more redundancy but make the pattern denser. Use Max with a logo, Medium otherwise.

Why won't my QR code scan?

Usually contrast or size: keep a dark code on a light background, leave a clear margin around it, and don't print it too small. A large center logo with low error correction is the other common cause — bump it to Max.
